Cancellation policy
The following information applies to consumers.
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, acquire(s) physical possession of the goods. In the case of several goods from a single order that are delivered separately, the period begins upon receipt of the last goods. In the case of goods delivered in several consignments or pieces, the period begins upon receipt of the last consignment or piece.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Basabas GmbH, Am Weiher 3, 35398 Gießen, Germany, email: info@basabas.de, telephone: +49 6403 97274 00) by means of a clear statement, for example a letter sent by post or an email, of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the model withdrawal form below for this purpose, but this is not mandatory.
You can also submit your cancellation using our Cancel contract declare electronically. We will confirm receipt without delay on a durable medium, in particular by email. Use of this function is voluntary; registration is not required.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send the notification of your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse you for all payments received from you, including delivery costs (except for any additional costs arising from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we receive notification of your withdrawal. We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no event will you incur any fees as a result of this reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or until you have provided evidence that you have returned the goods, whichever is earlier.
You must return or hand over the goods to Basabas GmbH, Am Weiher 3, 35398 Gießen, Germany, without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen days from the day on which you inform us of your withdrawal. The deadline is met if you send the goods before the fourteen-day period has expired. You bear the direct costs of returning the goods.
Estimated return costs for freight goods
For goods which, due to their nature, cannot normally be returned by post, we estimate the return costs according to weight and collection location as follows. The rate for the relevant weight category applies to the total return weight:

Examples: 80 kg from Germany: up to 120 €; 200 kg from Germany: up to 240 €; 500 kg from Germany: up to 450 €; 200 kg from abroad: up to 300 €. You can contact us to arrange a suitable return. Prior authorisation, a return number or the original packaging are not prerequisites for a valid cancellation.
You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods if this diminished value is due to handling of the goods that is not necessary for examining their nature, characteristics and functioning.
Exclusion of the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply, pursuant to Section 312g subsection 2 no. 1 of the German Civil Code (BGB), to contracts for the supply of goods that are not prefabricated and for the production of which an individual choice or specification by the consumer is decisive, or which are clearly tailored to the consumer’s personal needs.
Mere special procurement, ordering from the supplier or labelling as a “special order” does not exclude the right of withdrawal for standard goods. Statutory rights in respect of defects remain unaffected. Businesses do not have a statutory consumer right of withdrawal; a voluntary right of return exists only if individually agreed.
